The contract manufacturer of electronics and electromechanics, Orbit One, has been named this year’s winner of the Swedish Lean Award 2022. The Swedish Lean Award is a competition where companies and organisations that actively work with Lean are highlighted as role models. The Swedish Lean Award 2022 prize ceremony took place during the Lean Forum annual conference in Gothenburg, and the jury’s motivation reads:

“With goal-oriented leadership, Orbit One has built a culture of learning and continuous improvement, where results are analysed, and decisions are based on facts. By improving their flows in a structured and systematic manner in close collaboration between employees, customers, and partners, they have created a flexible and cost-effective business.”

– This is absolutely wonderful, and I want to thank first and foremost all our amazing employees for their knowledge and commitment. They are the ones who do the job, making sure our ideas are realised. I also want to acknowledge our leaders across the organisation and highlight our long-term approach to Lean. It allows us to constantly develop and move forward, says Orbit One Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Ulf Karlsson, who accepted the award together with Director Quality & Environment Bosse Börjesson and Manager Human Resources Thomas Sabel.

– This is a fine award that we should be extremely proud of, an award that goes to everyone within Orbit One. Constantly challenging, developing, and thinking new is in our DNA. Our journey with Lean has been incredible, and we have adapted systems and processes to it. The key to our success with this is our outstanding employees. They are the ones who have made it possible, Mattias Lindhe, Group President, Orbit One Group, says.
